Site Audit: Markup Data
Lately, we've been adding lots of exciting improvements and new features to the Site Audit tool, and today we're happy to announce another one - the new Markup Data feature! Using semantic markups on your website’s pages is a relatively new thing, but in some cases it can significantly boost your SEO ranking. So now, while crawling your website, the Site Audit tool will detect various markups (like Schema.org and Open Graph) and display their details in the Page Report.
How to use the new feature
First, to make sure you get the latest data, re-crawl your website by clicking the 'Run Now' button (fig. 1). Then, once the crawling process is complete, navigate to the Page Report.
You'll notice a new column added to the right side of the report - 'Markups’. In it, you can view how many markup types Site Audit found on each of the crawled pages (fig. 2).
Supported markups
Site Audit currently supports the following markups:
- Schema.org
- Twitter Cards
- Open Graph
- Microformats
